I've been watching this Angel Trumpet seedling for over a year and decided it is truly worth naming and registering. The cross is Brugmansia 'New Orleans Lady' x 'Marshmallow Sunset'.

neworleansladyxmarshmallowsunset-3.jpgIt recently had a flush of blooms that were so large and heavy I had to stake a couple of branches to keep them off the ground.  The blooms consistently have at least three skirts and often sport a separated upper skirt as shown in the photo above.  During the cooler weather the blooms take on a slight apricot tinge, but for the most part they remain a bright creamy white color.

I wish my sense of smell was better so i could tell if 'New Orleans Lady' passed on her fragrance genes, but I'll just have to wait until I have a visitor sniff it for me.

This seedling is currently being propagated so it should be readily available by summer.
